ceremony guide
Apprentice CeremonyThe leader must call the kit forward, then the leader states something along the lines of, "This is a proud day for CLAN'S NAME , by naming apprentices we show CLAN'S NAME will survive and remain strong. KIT'S NAME , from now on until you receive your warrior name you will be known as APPRENTICE'S NAME."(Must add paw to the prefix.)
The leader commands the apprentice's mentor to step forward. The leader then yowls, "You are ready for an apprentice, you will be Apprentice's Name mentor. I know you will pass on your strength, wisdom, speed ect. ect., to Apprentice's Name, and teach him/her the skills that will make him/her a brave warrior of clan's name.
The Warrior must then touch noses with his/her new apprentice.
Warrior CeremonyThe leader calls for the Apprentice(s) to step forward.
"I, LEADER'S NAME, leader of CLAN'S NAME, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice . He/She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend Him/Her to you as a warrior in His/Her turn. APPRENTICE'S NAME, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"
The Apprentice must say, "I do."
The Leader then calls, "Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior name, APPRENTICE'S NAME, from this moment on you will be known as NEW NAME. StarClan honors your STRENGTH ADJ (loyalty, wisdom etc) and your STRENGTH ADJ (gentle heart, courage, etc.) and we welcome you as a full warrior of the clan." Then the Leader must rest their muzzle on the New Warrior's head.
The new warrior must lick the Leader's head respectively before going to go sit with the other warriors.
Elder CeremonyThe leader then must call the warrior forward.
Then the leader yowls out,
"WARRIOR'S NAME, is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and to go join the elders?"
The Warrior must state, "It is."
The Leader then meows, "Your clan honors you and all the service you have given us, I call upon StarClan to give you many seasons of rest. Then the leader lays his/her tail on the Elder's shoulder, before the elder goes and joins the other elders.
Name Changing CeremonyThe leader must call the cat forward.
The leader must then yowl, "Spirits of StarClan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what she/he is. By my authority as clan leader, and with the approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name. From this moment on she/he will be known as NEW NAME, for REASON WHY NAME CHANGED."
Like in the warrior's ceremony the leader must lay his/her chin on the warrior's head.
The cat must give the Leader a respectful lick on the shoulder, as seen in the warrior's ceremony.
New Medicine Cat Apprentice CeremonyThe Leader summons a meeting, and asks the medicine cat and new apprentice forward.
The Medicine cat then meows, "Cats of CLAN'S NAME as you know I will not be around forever. So it's time I took an apprentice. I have chosen a cat REASON HERE(whatever the reason you like that apprentice or why you think she/he will be a good medicine cat) Your next medicine cat will be APPRENTICE'S NAME."
The leader then meows, "APPRENTICE'S NAME, do you accept the post of apprentice to MEDICINE CAT'S NAME?"
The apprentice must meow, "Yes, LEADER'S NAME."
The Medicine Cat must state clearly, "Then at the half-moon you must travel to the Moonstone, to be accepted by StarClan before the other medicine cats."
The leader must then meow, "The good wishes of all CLAN'S NAME will go with you."
The Medicine cat must then touch noses with his/her new apprentice.
Medicine Cat Ceremony(This ceremony can only be held at the Moonstone)
The Medicine Cat meows to the stars of Starclan, and calls the Medicine Cat apprentice forward. "I, MEDICINE CAT'S NAME, medicine cat of CLAN'S NAME, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She/he has trained hard to understand the way of a medicine cat, and with your help she/he will serve his/her clan for many moons. APPRENTICE'S NAME, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from clan rivalry between clan and clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"
The medicine cat apprentice then meows, "I do."
The Medicine Cat then Meows, "Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. APPRENTICE's NAME, from this moment you will be known as NEW NAME. StarClan honors your STRENGTH ADJ (loyalty, faith toward starclan, etc.)"
The Medicine Cat rests his/her chin on the New Medicine's cat's head.
The new Medicine cat licks his mentor's shoulder.
Deputy Ceremony(The Leader must call the ceremony before Moonhigh upon the death or retirement of a deputy.)
"We are gathered here to appoint CLAN's NAME new deputy." Pausing He/she meowed,
"I say these words before the body of Cat's Name [old deputy], so that his/her spirit may hear and approve my choice. NEW DEPUTY'S NAMEwill be the new deputy of CLAN'S NAME."
Ceremony for Retired Deputy(this ceremony is performed after the old deputy's retirement)
Pausing the Leader meows,
"I say these words before Starclan, so that they will hear and approve of my choice. NEW DEPUTY'S NAME will be the new deputy of CLAN'S NAME."
Leader Ceremony(This ceremony is performed at Highstones, and the Deputy will fall asleep next to the Moonstone, while Starclan perfoms the ceremony in a dream.)
The deputy sits at fourtrees and sees the stars start coming down from silverpelt.
Many vices formed as one meow, "Welcome DEPUTY'S NAME. Are you ready to receive your nine lives?"
The Deputy then meows, "Yes, I'm ready.
The Deputy sees the nine cats closest to him/her in life and realizes that each of them will give him a life.
The first cat meows, "With this life I give you courage. Use it well to defend your clan."
The second cat will meow, "With this life I give you justice. Use it well to judge the actions of others."
The third cat meows, "With this life I give you loyalty to what you believe to be right. Use it well to guide your clan in times of trouble."
The fourth cat meows, "With this life I give you tireless energy. Use it well to carry out the duties of a leader."
The fifth cat will meow, "With this life I give you protection. Use it well to care for your clan as a mother cares for her kits."
The Sixth cat then meows, "With this life I give you mentoring. Use it well to train the young cats of your clan."
The seventh cat meows, "With this life I give you compassion. Use it well for the elders of your clan and for all cats weaker than you."
The Eighth cat will meow, "With this life I give you love. Use it well for the cats in your care."
The Ninth cat then meows at last, "With this life I give you noblilty and certainty and faith. Use it well as you lead your clan in the ways of StarClan and the warrior code."
The ninth cat (Most likely the old leader) I hail you by your new name, DEPUTY'S NEW NAME(Must have star). Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader and StarClans grants you the guardianship of CLAN'S NAME. Defend it well, care for young and old, honor your ancestors and the warrior code. Live each life with pride and dignity."
After Starclan's chants the leader's name he/she wakes up and heads back to camp. But the leader mustn't tell anyone what happened at the moonstone. The leader is only allowed to say that they have received their name and nine lives.
