SAIGE
I was just looking at the Clan descriptions. I like the idea of Clan personalities; great opportunity for some unique, distinct Clans that members will remember.
I was thinking that to make the information clearer, we'd organize it into
Clan Personality
Leader (with a link to a finished bio)
Powers (category like mind, speed, shadow, elements)
Fighting Technique
Strengths
Weaknesses
Giving a lot of information and sorting it often makes a good impression
(The members will be under the illusion we're awesome and sane ehehehehe)
By the way, I know in our earlier conversation that we did agree Clan 2 and Clan 3 were pretty similar except for the coward thing. I think the more we can make them unique and distinct, the more intriguing the Clans and their lore will be (which is always nice c: )
After looking them over, they actually are pretty distinct... or at least since the devil's in the details. I would think that Clan 2 would put all their emphasis on dodging? Their technique would be to dodge attacks and waste their opponent's energy until they are exhausted enough to be taken down.
Now, I think that they should contrast Clan 3 -- in that they don't have a "we don't bother you, you don't bother us". They're actually pretty "gutsy", stealing prey from Clan 4 and stuff.
The cowardness comes in when they're caught. They're the kiss-up Clan, the people-pleasers (sort of).
For example, if caught hunting on another Clan's territory they will never fight for what they caught -- the key is to completely beg for mercy, act like they're not worth attacking, try to make the other Clans pity them, and basically doing ANYTHING to get out of trouble.
Live to fight another day, like you said. They could be looked down upon by the other Clans as "weak" or "cowardly", but the Clan has survived thus far on this tactic... I mean, possibly getting away with something without a scratch? doesn'tsoundtoobad -- even if you're looked down for what's seen as "spinelessness"
Though it hasn't deterred them from constantly toeing the line.
I was just wondering if it would be alright to revise the description to "the other Clans see them as cowards", and "this Clan will do anything to weasel it's way out of trouble, and are well-known for being kiss-ups." Rephrasing to say that their "cowardly" ways are actually a conscious choice of tactic rather than just "they are cowards" would probably make the Clan a bit more of a considerable choice (to make a character in)~
